1. Intermediate/ Senior Bookkeeper
Responsibilities
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage the full cycle of AP/AR
including invoicing, payment processing, allocation, and reconciliation
of accounts.
• Invoicing and Billing: Timely creation and management of invoices to
clients, following up on overdue payments to maintain healthy cash flow.
• Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations: Regularly reconcile bank
accounts, credit card transactions, and vendor accounts to ensure
accuracy.
• Expense Reporting: Prepare and categorise expense reports for tax
purposes and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Debt Collection: Assist clients with debt collection, tracking overdue
accounts, and following up on payments.
• Vendor Payments and Management: Oversee vendor payments, ensuring
timely payment and managing vendor relations.
• Payroll Management: Process payroll, including PAYG, superannuation,
and compliance with Fair Work regulations.
• Fixed Assets Management: Track and manage fixed assets, including
depreciation schedules, additions, and disposals.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain and update the general ledger with
accurate and timely postings.
• Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Closing: Conduct period-end financial
closings and ensure timely completion of financial statements and
reports.
2. Intermediate/ Senior Accountant
Responsibilities
2.1. Financial Reporting and Analysis
• Financial Statements Preparation: Prepare balance sheets, income
statements, cash flow statements, and other financial reports.
• Variance Analysis: Perform variance analysis between budgets and
actuals, and provide insights to clients for decision-making.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor client cash flow, offering
recommendations on improving liquidity and working capital management.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist clients with annual budgeting and
monthly forecasting processes, including revising forecasts based on
actual performance.
• Financial Reporting Tools: Use of data visualization and BI tools such
as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, Microsoft Excel, and others to generate
detailed financial insights, KPIs, and reports.
• Tax Forecasting: Provide clients with tax forecasting, helping them
anticipate and prepare for tax liabilities.
• Job Costing and Project Reporting: Track costs associated with
specific projects, generate project profitability reports, and assist in
cost control.
2.2. Tax Compliance
• GST (Goods and Services Tax) Management: Prepare and lodge GST
returns, ensuring compliance with ATO regulations.
• BAS (Business Activity Statements): Complete and file monthly,
quarterly, and annual BAS on behalf of clients.
• Assist in preparation and review company financials / tax returns for
individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships in accordance with
Australian tax laws.
• IAS (Instalment Activity Statements): Prepare IAS, ensuring correct
pay-as-you-go (PAYG) withholding compliance.
• Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT), Luxury Car Tax (LCT), and other tax-related
obligations: Handle the preparation of various taxes as required by the
ATO.
• Tax planning and advisory: Provide advice on tax minimization
strategies, ensuring clients make tax-effective decisions.
2.3. Audit Preparation
• Assist with audit preparation by organising and providing required
financial documentation for internal or external audits.
2.4. Financial System Setup
• Setting up financial systems: Support clients in implementing and
customising financial systems, ensuring efficient and effective
accounting processes.
2.5. SMSF (Self-Managed Super Fund) Accounting
• SMSF Compliance: Ensure SMSF accounts comply with Australian
superannuation laws, including auditing, reporting, and tax obligations.
• Annual Return Preparation: Complete SMSF annual returns, ensuring
accurate documentation of contributions, investments, and payouts.
• Superannuation Fund Audits: Liaise with auditors to provide all
necessary documentation and ensure timely SMSF audits.
3. Administrator
Responsibilities
• Minutes: Preparation of minutes and resolutions.
• Entity establishment: Setting up new companies and trusts.
• Registration procedure for new entity Australian businesses.
• Updating: Managing and updating ASIC and other databases along with
ATO portal.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or
related field.
• For Bookkeeper and Accountant role, minimum of 2-5 years of
experience. CPA qualification is a big plus.
• Writing and reading English fluently, basic communication in English
for Intermediate level and Administrator role. Proficiency in English in
all 4 skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) for Senior
level.
• Detail-Oriented: Accuracy in financial reporting and tax preparation
is crucial.
• Time Management: Ability to manage multiple clients and meet
deadlines.
• Problem Solver: Proactive in identifying issues and offering solutions
to improve client financial performance.
• Team Player: Collaborates effectively with team members and clients.
